Morning Workshop Session (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) 
Increase Your Influence, Reduce Conflict, and Greatly Enhance Your Potential 

 In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to a fresh approach to leading and managing your workday: Speaking and Communicating Mindfully.  This workshop is highly interactive as we hear about your specific communication challenges as it pertains to your practice and the people you encounter every day. You will be provided with skills to help you improve attention, clarity and trusted connection, while diminishing procrastination, distraction and inevitable conflict.

Members will gain an understanding of:
 
Our untapped potential to communicate mindfully and effectively
How subtle changes can improve morale, relationships and the health of an organization
The business case for becoming champions of communicating mindfully
 
Members will be taught how to:
 
Confidently approach challenging conversations and people
Brief mindful practices that decrease stress and increase focus
Sharpen the vital skills of non-judgmental listening and speaking with clarity

Faculty:
Donna Mac trains professionals how to communicate mindfully and effectively with colleagues, and customers. Her workshops, courses and retreats integrate effective communication skills with wellness in order to create a stable and highly productive workforce, lower turnover, and gain influence. Donna is the founder and president of DMacVoice Communications and Inspiring Voice.com. Donna is also a national keynote speaker and communication/presentation coach.

Donna is a pioneering female broadcaster who worked in radio for more than 25 years. She was featured on stations in Boston (Magic 106.7) and Providence (Lite 105 FM) as a news anchor, personality, interviewer, voiceover artist and emcee. She also produced and hosted the VWR Interviews for Clear Channel Communications from 2003-2009.

Donna is a frequent speaker at Emerson College in Boston, MA, The University of RI, and is certified in communicating mindfully.

Networking Luncheon (12 - 1:15 p.m.)

Afternoon Session (1:15 - 2:15 p.m.)
Political Hot Topics: What You Need to Know and How to Get Involved 
This session will feature faculty from Dewey Square Group, a noted advocacy firm based in Boston. This timely overview will provide all the details on the important November ballot initiative- Question 1. We’ll show you how to get more involved in your local communities and have an impact on this critical healthcare advocacy issue.
